Pregnancy After C-Section: Understanding Timing & Ovulation

I gave birth via csection on 1/18/10 and had unprotected sex in the six week window and have been having it since.  I have not yet got my period or I don't know if I even ovulated. Is there any way that you can get pregnant after giving birth even tho I have not had a period.  We have been having unprotected sex since 5 weeks after giving birth and still doing it. When will I know if I was pregnant and if I was how do I know the due date? And when can I take a hpt

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you earlier- I was cramming for mid-terms!I'm sorry you've found yourself in this situation. Yes it is possible to become pregnant after giving birth before beginning a period.or something obtained from your doctor. I would take a test now, if it's negative test again in 2 weeks if you still haven't gotten your period. If it's still negative your okay, but you got lucky! Hun why aren't you using birth control? You need to start using birth control whether it be condoms or something obtained by your doctor. You can also go to Planned Parenthood and receive birth control. They will give you a free exam by a doctor who can then give you a prescription for the birth control you two agree on. Please start practicing safe sex- overtime. Otherwise you will most likely find your self back in this situation. 80% of female teenagers having unprotected sex will become pregnant within one year and of those girls with babies 50% of them will find themselves pregnant again within 2 years. If you are pregnant you'll have some decisions to make. If it comes down to that, if you need someone to help you look over your options I'll help you with that- or anything else you might need. You can go ahead and test tonight if you like, but if it is negative, remember to retest in 2 weeks just to be sure if your period hasn't came. Please let me know how this turns out!
