QuestionHi, my name is melissa, i'm 24 and am facing my fourth c-section. my dr. said the risks are very high and truthfully im terrified. He mentioned possibly death, i just need another opinion not sure what to do. i am asking you to let me know the facts of what may or may not happen please. . . . worried
AnswerHi Melissa,
If your doctor is telling you the risk is high, but is going ahead with the c-section anyway, then he must feel it's still the safest way for your baby to be delivered, given your circumstances. I am not a doctor, but I do know that c-sections in America are a relatively safe procedure, and outcomes are excellent. And since you've had 3 before at least you know how you will handle the surgery, and that you won't have a reaction to the anesthesia.
I will keep you in my prayers.
