When Will My Baby Deliver? Understanding Induction and Contraction Timelines

I am due June 2, 2010 and yesterday i underwent three rounds of the prostaglandin gel "induction". I experienced  contractions soon there after, they were consistent and rather uncomfortable, nothing compared to the one's i had with my first though. After only dilating from 2 to 3 centimeters i was eventually sent home contractions and all. I awoke to use the restroom early in the morning and when i was wiping i noticed alot of straw colored mucous with plenty of dark red blood in it, I have been having this all day, accompanied by my annoying contractions. What is going on? will the contractions eventually go away or will they get worse?

I know you're anxious to have the baby, but I've found after 5 pregnancies that babies come when they're ready. Why did your doctor do the prostaglandin induction if you're not past your due date?

There's no way of knowing when your contractions will get more regular and active labor will begin. It's just a waiting game and you'll need lots of patience. If you've had bloody show then it's probably very close!
