Why Are My Gel Nails Falling Off So Quickly? Causes & Solutions
QuestionI've been getting my nails done for nearly 20 years. I started with silks, then went to acrylics, now, my new nail girl is doing gels. My nails do grow very fast and because I am on medications, she says that is the reason that I lose at least one to 3 nails every two weeks. I've always had to take medications, but I haven't always lost nails that quickly. It seems that these gels come off faster. May be my imagination. But is my taking medication the cause of my losing nails before my next appointment, which is every other week? She's a nice girl, she just goes so fast. I've never had a nail tech do nails as quickly as she does. I live in a small community and she is the only one in this community who does nails. Thank you for your time.

Sorry about the late reply tech probs with my link to this site.
It could very well be. Since you have always taken meds the build up over time could be affecting with the system she uses. Or it could be she is not prepping or applying properly. It is hard to say. But Meds due affect adhesion so I would maybe opt for acrylics or wraps again if they worked for you but it could also have the same outcome. Talk to your tech and see what she advices.
Good luck
