37 Weeks Pregnant: Understanding Your Labor Options After a C-Section

Question
I would like to know what my choices are? I'm 37 weeks I was checked Thursday due to I was having contractions every 5-10 minutes they said that I was 2 cm almost 3cm and 50% effaced. I had a c-section in 2007 but I had a vac in 2008 but they had to induce my labor due to I wouldn't dilate could I request for my doctor to do that now?

Answer
Hi Chauntae,

Usually, it's not wise to induce after having a c-section as the pitocin-stimulated contractions are much harder on the uterus and the scar tissue. If I were you I would opt for another VBAC, or at least do a "trial of labor" and just let your body go into labor naturally.
