Brown Discharge & Bleeding After Skipping Birth Control Placebos: What to Expect

I skipped my placebo pills my first month of birth control. Since then (about 2 weeks ago) I've had brown discharge which has recently turned into what looks like a light period. I have one more week of my regular pills until I return to my placebos. Will I get a normal period then? After that will this discharge and bleeding finally stop?
