Brown Vaginal Discharge: Causes, Possible Pregnancy & Miscarriage

i am 24 and have 2 girls. my last period started sept-22-05. i dont know to say i am 7 days late or to wonder if the brown discharge is my period. today will make 4 days of it. it appears once daily on my pad, but each time i use the bathroom, its on the tp. its not smelly, but kinda slimy. day 2 had a bit of light blood on the tp with the discharge. i have never experienced this b4. could it b miscarriage or pregnancy? is there any other possibilty? i had a pain below my navel yesterday for a bit also

If this spotting does not appear to be a normal period, take a pregnancy test and you will know for sure. If the pregnancy test is positive, and you continue to have brown spotting, it may merely be "old" blood coming from the uterus or it can be a sign of an impending miscarriage. If the pregnancy test is negative, it was your period. If you have any doubts, discuss it with your gynecologist.
