Post-Abortion Recovery & Trying to Conceive: A Guide for Women

Question
Hi Jean,

I am 31 yrs old and having 4yrs old daughter. She was born pre-term at 33weeks.When my kid was 1 yr old I had second pregnancy and also had miscarriage(sponteanous abortion) at 13 weeks.

Just a month back I had another abortion at 10 weeks pregnancy as I had blighted ovum.I had D&C method for abortion and was bleeding for nearly 20 days after the procedure. My cycle has started just 2 days back. Now doctor has given me Krimson 35.

I would like to try for my baby again now and don't won't to use the Krimson-35 as it would affect fetus as reviews i have gone thru.

Please suggest me

Answer
I just wanted to add: if no pills interfere with your ability to become pregnant, you should be able to conceive normally since your menstrual cycle has now returned. However, I strongly urge you to find out if your abortion has led to any complications which might prevent you from becoming pregnant.

I am only an expert on abortions and their after-effects; I have no expertise in how to conceive and medications like Krimson-35.

Did your doctor explain why you were bleeing for so long after your abortion? It is normal to bleed or spot for about 2 weeks, but yours seems like an unusually long time. Was the abortion incomplete, or was there an infection? You need to ask your doctor what happened.

If you don't want to take this Krimson-35, you need to talk to your doctor and tell him/her your concerns. Your doctor will be better able to help you with this problem because of his/her familiarity with your case history.
