Heavy Bleeding & Clots After Surgical Abortion: Seeking Medical Advice

I am 40 years of age lady, I had a surgical termination on 8.02.2011 for 10 weeks pregnancy, I had a normal bleeding for about 2 weeks after termination, but the first two days I had severe abnominal pain which I think was because of the process, so had to take pain killers and antibiotics for infections preventions, after that things went well though I didnt get my MP, last saturday 9.04 I was at work I started bleeding heavily with big blood clots (like when u open the tap) with a painfully abnominal left hand pain,I had to go to ER were they had to examine me, the bleeding last only for 30 minutes then starting getting out the very dark blood clots with unpleasant smell, they also did the test on my urine which show I had no infections as well as am not pregnant again, on my blood was also ok pressure was normal, Infact I had no any fever whatsoever, had to take pain killer to ease the pain in my abnominal, am still waiting for the scannner and I have decided to ask help from you what is real happen to me is it a normal MP why last only for 30 mins? why now dark clots with unpleasant smell is there any tissues remain in my womb during the process or is my womb get back to normal and prepared itself for my normal MP?? desparate for the answer thanx
