Post-Abortion Bleeding: What to Expect After an Abortion Procedure

Hi, I had an abortion 6 weeks ago and today I experienced heavy cramping and what I believed was my period. But when I checked again a few hours later, it was light and almost nonexistent. Is this normal?
I have had unprotected sex but it was not finished for either side, and I have taken motrin for the cramps if that affects anything.

Yes, you can have irregular cycles after an abortion. It's because of the hormones and irregularities in your body.
