QuestionHi!
I had a successful abortion with the abortion pill on august 8. It is September 13 and i still have no period although I have all period symptoms like nausea, breast pain, cramps.
I had protected sex 3 weeks after the abortion. Is it normal for a late period yet with all the symptoms
AnswerHello, Mary,
I found your question in the question pool.
Pregnancy hormones tend to last for awhile (sometimes weeks) after abortion. They can prevent you from having a period. Nausea, breast pain, and cramps could be due to the fact the abortion wasn't successful. How far along were you when you took the pills? Are you measuring from your last period, or from the date you think you conceived? Let me know how things are going now.
"Protected" sex is a joke. There is no such thing. The only way to stay safe from pregnancy is not to have sex. If you're not married, having sex is not in your best interests. Pregnancy is not the only problem you can have. You can also get a nasty disease, and there are about 50 different ones out there you could get. There are also emotional consequences from having sex if you're not married. If you are married, I recommend you learn how to tell when you are fertile. If you would like this information, let me know.
Please take care of yourself, and let me know how you are doing.
