Acrylic Nail Free Edge: Causes, Prevention & Solutions

Hi there.  Last week I got nail enhancements for the first time.  I chose to get acrylic nails with white tip extensions.  I went into the discount salon with nicely kept nails that had a good length white free-edge because I don't bite my nails.  A couple days later, I started noticing white free-edge showing up below the white tip extensions that were placed on my nails.  As time has elapsed, the white free-edge showing below the white tip extensions has become more and more noticeable.  

My friend had hers done at the same time and she is not having this odd problem.  How could my nails be appearing to grow more white edge under the glued on nail tips?

This is normal and it is due to the growth of the nails, once you have a maintenace performed the white is reapplied farther bach hidding the natural smile line again. If this problem occour very soon perhaps the white should be applied a bit back so that this only happens when you need a maintenace, but if your nail are small this will make the nail look unbalanced, if this is the case you should have maintenace performed more often to avoid this problem.
