Nail Growth After Acrylics: Recovery & Care Tips

Question
After having acrylic nails for over 3 years I decided to be rid of them.  I was going for a fill every 2 weeks and simply couldn't afford it any more.  I removed them myself but a couple of nails are tender, like there isn't anything there, and a few have broken below the finger line.  I keep them polished and when I remove old nail polish I use a moisturizing one.  I rub vitamin e oil into the cuticle and nail before filing and I use Sally Hansen Nail Growth clear as a basecoat.  Is there anything else I can do and how long might it take for my nails to not feel so thin?  Thank you.

Answer
You are doing exacly what you should, moisturize and keep them short, as soon as they get mosturized they will fell normal again except if there was any damage done, in this case, don't stress too much, they will eventually grow and the damaged portion will grow out. I would also recomend that you use gloves for any housework envolving water to avoid dehydrating them. Hope it works out for your :)
