Acrylic Nail Removal: DIY vs. Professional & Finding Qualified Technicians

Question
Thanks for the advice. I have a few more question though. Should i soak off my possibly MMA acrylics by myself or should i get them professionally removed? If i were to get them professionally removed where could i look to find a qualified experienced technician?

Answer
Dear Karina,

You would be best to seek out a more qualified technician and ask her to refill over the enhancements. If your natural nails were etched with an electric file (aka drill), then they will be damaged and not a strong base for other products to stick to, they might be prone to lifting.  Also, it could be painful for you to expose the damaged nails, if they are indeed damaged.  Best to leave sleeping dogs lie.

I can not suggest a technician in your area.
However, call around and ask questions:
where did they train
what product line do they use
what is most important to them in terms of customer service
Can they show you the MSDS for the products they use, what products do they use
Do they etch the natural nail, etc
If they use an electric file, are they certified in it's use
do they have insurance
can they prove they are licensed..... etc.

By the answers they provide you, and the information that is available on the link I gave to you earlier, you should be able to choose a quality technician.

best regards
Victoria
