QuestionHello. I just moved to a new location and did not have any advice on a good place to get my nails done at. I actually went around looking at locations until I found one that looked clean and newer. I figured that a nicer looking place would be the best. I made a mistake. I really do not believe that they clean their instruments very thoroughly. I did not see them sanitizing instruments (so they could have), but my technician was sneezing all over the instruments. Also, the technician cut my cuticle and made it bleed, then continued putting chemicals on it as if it were not injured. It was a very painful experience. Not only did the technician cut my cuticle, they took a chunk out of my finger with the manicure machine while filing the end of it. After all the chemicals were put on my fingernail, the tip of my nail began to throb in pain. It has not stopped hurting, even with the ibuprofen I have taken. What should I do? Please advise. Thank you!
AnswerYou should never go back to that nail place. I don't think i can recommend a salon as i live in Portugal and hardly know any salons outside here, but you should be concerned what they think of you, go and inspect the place around before you book, ask questions, ask to see certificates, ask to see pictures of their work, a good professional not only won't mind as will feel confident answering you and will like the interest you take.
Also look for places using reputable brands such as Creative, IBD, EZFlow, YoungNails etc.
You should visit another nail salon and ask them to access the damage done to your nails, they, by looking at them, can better advise you on what to do next.
