Abdominal Pain & Irregular Periods: Causes & Solutions

I have had very painful periods off and on since they began when I was 14.  I am now 23.  My periods are also very late.  They seem to just get later as each year passes, anywhere between 1-8 months late.  I cannot take birth control because they all cause severe cramping even when not menstrating to the point of vomiting and doubling over.  I have tried birth control of all sorts even the one for 5o years and older, they all hurt.  I have had blood work and a sonogram done and nothing has been found, no abnormal paps or anything either.  Even when I don't menstrate I get a tugging or pulling feeling in one or both sides of my ovaries (abdomen).  I get very bad mood swings and have trouble sleeping as well as severe and regular cravings for various things.  I have also began to get numbness in fingers, legs, and feet.  And begining 2 days ago my heart has been racing just as I fall asleep or right before, and once it felt like my heart was being squeezed.  I don't know if any of my symptoms are related but they worry me none the less.  Do you have any idea what any of this could be, or do I need tests run?

first go to your gyn and get another battery of hormonal tests done and complete physical. Take those papers to your internist and explain to him what is going on, between the two of them you should be able to find out something. Let me know.
