QuestionWhat is the difference between an M.D and a D.O?
Thank you for your time...

AnswerThey are somewhat interchangeable... They go to different types of med schools, doctor of osteopathic medicine and doctor of medicine. In the old days, the DO's were DO's because they couldn't get into med school, now, that isn't true. The DO's have add'l training in osteopathic med... manipulations, more musculoskeletal work, but now all go thru the same post med school training (residency training). So overall, not much difference.
