European Nail Technique: A Unique & Customizable Manicure

Question
My friend recently got nails and they are the most beautiful nails I have seen.  she told me how they were done and I was amazed. I want to get them done too But the lady that does them is rather rude and only does them if she initially likes you. Weird I know, but since she is the only one that does these kinds of nails, women put upo with her. I've never heard or seen this methond used anywhere else.  There is no filing of the natual nail, no nail tips, it is a complete clear nail, she measures your "smile" zone and then works the backside of the clear nail. she puts the white acrylic on the backside, checks for the placement of the "smile" zone and then puts pink acrylic on the rest of the backside of the clear nail and then places it on your nail.  thats it. no polish, no file, no glue, just that....
What is this called?? The nails look so natural and beatiful.

thanks.

Answer
Dear Lilli,

I regret, but that way of putting on enhancements puts clients at risk for over exposure. This method is for those that do not have training to apply acrylics properly.  It's a "shortcut".
This is probably the method she is using :

These are some responses by other professional technicians:

A technician that is properly trained, educated and licensed can apply nails that beautiful or even MORE SO without the use of the mold (which, in truth, is not a 'mold', just a clear nail tip)  AND that well trained technician will not put you at risk for overexposure (which results in acrylic allergies, so you'd never be able to wear enhancements again).

My best advice to you: seek out a BETTER technician than the one your friend is visiting.  after time, she'll wind up allergic to the acrylic.

Best of luck!
