Fiberglass Nail Issues: Cracking, Peeling & Lifting - Causes & Solutions
QuestionHello,
I have been getting fiberglass nails for almost two months. After a day or two the paint starts to peel at the top then they crack and break or they will just crack. Sometimes I can see the cracks under the paint. It is extremely frustrating because I have never had a problem with nails. I wore silk wraps and gels for years and never had this problem but that was with a different nail technician as well. They also lift off my nail and I'm starting to think the technician isn't properly applying them. She only puts one layer of the silk wrap across the side of my nails. I watched a video because I am just so very frustrated. On the video it showed where it was applied across the side then from the top to bottom of the nail. I'm not doing anything stressful to the nails. Please help!!!
AnswerTanya, Thank you for visiting AllExperts! With all the issues you have described, I think I would find a new nail tech. Everyone has thier method of application and some are better than others. Check with friends or if you see someone who's nails impress you, ask her. Women are always eager to share. In any event, your nails should be lasting and not cracking. Products and application are key! I would ask around. Kindly, Pamela
