Organic Nails: Separating Fact from Marketing Hype

Question
QUESTION: have you ever had organic nails done if not visit our website and find out more
THE FUTURE IS ORGANIC NAILS

ANSWER: Dear Maragaret

"Organic" is a marketing ploy. Anything containing carbon is organic.  This does NOT mean it's "natural" .  Many companies attempt to con the public and technicians in this manner.
I, for one, am not fooled by this ploy.  It's not new.  There are several UV Gel companies that make this fraudulent claim, and been doing so for many years.
I'm actually insulted that you think that I, as an educated technician, would fall for it.

If your product is any different from any of the others, please feel free to share your MSDS  (Materials Safety and Data Sheet) and prove it's not an acrylic just like all the other UV Gel's and Liquid & Powder Acrylics that already exist.

I apologize if you take offense at my words, but I call it as I see it.

QUESTION: my product is NOT a gel or an axcrylic the powder consists of vitamins minerals protiens and herbs and has no msds as it is natural and is used world wide and we have just recently brought it to the uk. I can asure you we dont con anyone.  WE have recently sold the product to south africa and already we have interest for the uk.I feel insulted as a master nail educator for many years  with bad health due to working with monomer and acrylic powder, and gel products.   Our product is so safe you can actually eat it.I have been in the newspapers and the tv and people are amazed when they see the results.i have pregnant women using my product and the technicians using it dont have to take maternaty leave as the system is digestible.
good luck with your search

Answer
Margaret,
First of all, technicians using QUALITY UV Gels and QUALITY Liquid & Powder Acrylics in a SAFE manner with appropriate ventilation etc, need NOT take maternity leave and avoid using their products.  To make the claim that traditional Uv Gels and standard Acrylics is dangerous to pregnant women - be they a client or technician- when used PROPERLY, is FALSE AND MISLEADING to consumers and technicians alike.

As for there not being an MSDS.... that sounds extremely odd to me. I see absolutely no reason why there wouldn't be an MSDS OR an ingredient listing of the product.  All products on the market, be they food, household cleaners or nail enhancements etc are required to list their ingredients or have an MSDS.

As stated, I invite you to prove to me with an accurate listing of it's ingredients that it's not a standard acrylic.
If you can prove it, then by all means, PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME.

Your approach to me was the same as many other companies making the same claims, who in the end; were no different than standard acryics and uv gels.  So if my response to you seemed uncalled for, you might keep that in mind.  Most technicians WILL be a sceptic like myself. I'M SURE that I'm not the first.

Many uv gels & acrylic companies add proteins and calcium to their products to make the claim that they are beneficial to the natural nail.
In actual fact, adding anything to the gel/acrylic, or to a nailpolish will NOT change the health of the natural nail.  As a technician, you should KNOW this.  Affecting the natural nail's health starts from within, at the matrix.  In addition, once damage has occurred, it can NOT be 'repaired'. Again, you should know this.  You can 'mask' damage, but not undo it.  Damage must grow out.

Having said all of that, I invite you AGAIN to prove it's any different.  You did not provide me with a site link, nor an MSDS nor an ingredient listing as I requested.

Until I have such a thing, I remain highly doubtful of your claims.
