QuestionQUESTION: hi
recently i have some problem about my clients nails. After a couple fills. their nails have big bubble (lifted) ONLY in the middle of their nails. There are no lifting AT ALL aroud the cuticle or on the edge. I have no idea how's that happened. i roughed the nail bed pretty goo and i made sure its dust-free before i apply primer. plz tell me what's wrong with it?? thx
ANSWER: Hi Zoey
It sounds like the liquid to powder ratio may be a bit off. The same thing has happened to me when I have used a new product. When you pick up a ball of acrylic, it should not be dripping off the brush, nor should it have a powdery look. It needs to look as though it has a sort of "orange peel" appearance. I have also switched to a protein based primer. Young Nails, Tuff Enuff Nails and a few others carry this, and it works better than regular primer.

I hope that this helps Zoey :)

QUESTION: Thank you so much for replying me so fast. The thing is I have been using Creative for awile and it just happened to me the last...say 6months??? Is my product too old maybe??? or maybe the supply did something to it??? because my regular arcylic doesn't lilf in the middle or anywhere. btw im using "no lift primer" is that a protein based too?? thanks
AnswerHi Zoey
I got that at first with Creative until I switched to the Linkage by Tuff Enuff Nails. No Lift primer is a methacrylic acid primer, and isn't considered a protein primer. You would love Linkage, it works great w/ gels and acrylics!
If your product is more than 2 years old, replace it. And if this is a new problem, then figure out what you have bought lately. Maybe the problem lies in that. If you only do a few clients a week, then buy in smaller quantities as your product will stay fresher.
Good luck Zoey! Write me back if you need to :)
