SNS Nails: Long-Term Effects & Alternatives - A Concerned User's Question

I have never had artificial nails of any kind but finally took the plunge 2 weeks ago and had SNS nails applied.  My natural nails are thin and peel at the tips and I was tired of having ugly nails.  

I love the look and feel of my new pink and white nails but I am concerned about long term damage.  Is that a risk with SNS?  Would another product be better? BTW, I do not like colored polish on my fingernails so any product that involves a color is out.  Thanks so much!

Julie, Thank you for visiting AllExperts. I'm Pamela Golightly, a Natural Naol Care Specialist, because of that I don't work with Acrylic or any chemical process. As for damage due to long term use, the acrylics can be very damaging. Contact a nail tech that specializes in the acrylic product you are wondering about. Additionally, go on the internet and research your questions on the product sites.  For the best, safest and healthiest nail care treatment, try to find a tech who uses Nailtiques or Jessica products.  These systems are wonderful and these are the products I use for best results.  Hope this helps!  Kindly, Pamela Golightly
