Ingredients Needed To Make Chocolate Sorbet:
- 200 grams Sugar (you can use castor sugar as well)
- 75 grams top quality cocoa powder, preferably unsweetened Dutch or Pernigotti
- 170 grams semi sweet or bittersweet chocolate, delicately chopped
- One teaspoon vanilla extract
- Two cups water
- Pinch of salt or kosher salt

Cooking Time: 5 minutes + Chilling and Freezing time
Serves: 6 persons with serving size of 2/3 cup
How To Cook Chocolate Sorbet?
- Stir cocoa powder and sugar in a bowl.
- Boil water in a large saucepan.
- Whisk sugar and cocoa powder in the previously boiled water. Repeat whisking frequently to form a smooth paste.
- Simmer these ingredients with the pan uncovered for around 5 minutes.
- Remove the pan. Mix the vanilla extract and chocolate. Stir till the chocolate gets melted completely. Let it cool down to room temperature.
- Transfer this mixture to a blender and blend it smoothly for 15 seconds.
How To Freeze Chocolate Sorbet?
- Keep the mixture in the fridge for a few hours to cool it.
- Pour it into an ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions to freeze it as such.
- You can also pour it into a rigid metal or plastic container and freeze.
- Wait till it gets frozen up to 3 centimetres from the edges of the container.
- Whisk it again to soften the mixture. Then freeze it for about one hour. You may repeat this procedure for better consistency of sorbet. Then leave it overnight.
