Identifying Hallmark: 18K Gold Pendant with Diamonds
Question
Close up of hallmark
Hello. I have a pendant with an unknown hallmark. It is 18K yellow gold with .38 cts of IF-VVS1/F diamonds (between four diamonds)....26.6 grams. It is a cocoon type pendant that opens up. It is signed "750 AB" with a small flower symbol above the initials AB. I am attaching photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ... Tami
AnswerHello Tami and thank you for your inquiry. The 750 mark is the U.S. Gold mark for 18K gold. I have not been able to locate a manufacturer/designer with the flower or AB initials. This this is a US piece, I would suggest that you have it appraised by an estate jewelry appraiser. They could not only give you a valuation, but hopefully could identify the mark. They will take into consideration the current gold value as well as the quality, cut and clarity of the diamonds. It sounds very pretty and well worth pursuing more information and I wish I could help you further, but my resources are primarily for costume jewelry. Check with your local museum or antique shop for referral to a good appraiser. Good luck and enjoy your pendant !
