QuestionQUESTION: I recently purchased this ring on the internet and need it sized up about 1/2 of a size, is this possible with the setting? http://www.diamondsonweb.com/shopping/setdetail.mhtml?c_gid=3;cat=20;setid=68
ANSWER: Sara
It should be no problem for just 1/2 size, take it to a jewelry store who has a shop on premise, it will be done quicker. Make sure they will re-rhodium finish the ring, which is a white flash coating on top of the white gold if it is white gold as the ring will discolor slightly overtime if it is white gold and not platinum.

QUESTION: Les,
Thanks for the quick response, so even though it has diamonds all the way around it and with the intricate design it shouldn't be a problem? Thanks again!
AnswerSara
You never told me and I had no way of seeing that the ring had diamonds all the way around......NO WAY this can be done unless you remove the section with diamonds and place a gold bar under the ring...which is quite a job....the other option is to ream the inside of the ring out which may or may not work depending on the amount of metal on the inside....I would have to see it.....Send it back to the company and have them send you a ring in the proper size......how do you know its only 1/2 size larger? are you sure ? a diamond all around ring needs to be fit perfectly and made to order.....the company you purchased the ring from should be able to do this for you......
reconfirm your finger size by a local jeweler
