Fixing a Ring Wax Carving That's Too Large: A Beginner's Guide

Question
I am very new to ring carving. Typically, I am very carful with the sizing but this time i went a little overboard and carved the inside of the ring about 1/4 size too large. I am making it specifically for my best friend and need the perfect fit. What would be the best way to fix the carving back down to the proper size? I used the medium purple wax. Please help with any tips!

Answer
If the ring is still in wax you can try cutting it but don't forget it may shrink a little. Wax is the easiest way to size it and repair compared to working the finished product in metal.
Just add some wax inside and carve it down with a drum wheel. is probably the easiest way.
