QuestionHi DeMello,
I purchased a ring at a jewelers they claimed to be a 1.50 carat and I brought it to Macy's to get it appraised the total estimate was 1.08 carat not only they were off by the numbers of carat the diamonds the color, clarity, of it the diamond was chipped I went back to the jewelers and explained my situation and wanted my money back. They refused for giving me a refund only exchange or store credit. What sort of action can be taken?
AnswerI't sounds like you have a good case. You need to have an appraisal done by a Graduate Gemologist like myself who specializes in legal matters the way I do. The appraiser needs to be sure that Macy's appraisal is accurate. This is called an appraisal review. This needs to be done very carefully.
If you need someone to do this I can help you or you can choose another appraiser to do this.
If interested call me for the details.
