14k Gold Cameo Earrings: Are They Solid Gold?

Hello.  I have a pair of older "gold" cameo earrings.  The clasp on each post is marked 14k.  There are no other visible markings on the earrings.  Does the 14k mark on the clasp indicate that all of the gold in the earrings is 14k or just the clasp?  If you can offer an answer I'd be very grateful.

usually the stamp on earrings is on the post and its very small almost non visible...you have to see it with a 10x loupe......the clutch or "clasp" as you called it, may be different and just because its 14kt it does not guarantee the gold content of the earrings..
