Decoding 417 ASK on Your Gold Bracelet: Meaning & Manufacturer Hallmarks

I have a bracelet that says 417 ASK. In one of your past question I saw 417 stands for 10k gold but what does ASK stand for?

My guess is the ASK is the hallmark of the manufacturer who produced the chain, under law a mfg. must include his "signature" on all gold products to assure the public they are getting accurate gold content, in this case, 41.7% pure gold with the balance being alloys either yellow alloys (copper,y.g. etc...) or white alloys ( nickel, silver, palladium etc.....)
