I think emerald rings are so pretty and would like to purchase one someday. What would be the price range for an emerald solitaire?

The price depends mostly on quality and quantity factors. You can buy cheap, low quality 'emerald' rings just about anywhere for $100 or slightly more, but for a good quality emerald set in good quality gold, you'll pay more. But its worth it. I tend to carry solitaire rings with good quality, larger sized emeralds in the $700-$1000 range, but it would certainly be possible to produce very attractive rings with smaller stones of good quality to sell in the $350-$500 range. This may seem like a big difference in price from the $100 level, but the difference in quality is night and day. I wouldn't even acknowledge much of the cheaper stones I see on department store shelves as emeralds.

Unfortunately, nearly all of the cheap emerald rings out there are very, very low quality and they give people a very bad impression of what emeralds are like. Not only are the stones of poor quality, but many are matched with poor quality gold. If you're looking for quality jewelry, look for 18kt gold which is ideal.
