Identifying Jewelry Marks: What Does 'JM' Mean?

Hello - I am wondering about a jeweler's mark on a necklace and earrings set
that I received as a gift many years ago.  The mark reads "JM" on all three.  
The necklace has a light pink large stone and all three pieces remind me of
John Hardy, they appear to be a similar style.  At the time the gift-giver
inferred that they were worth a decent amount, but before I donate them I'd
like to know.  Any idea about a company that uses those initials?  Thank you!
