Identifying the Value of a Vintage HongLong Quartz Watch from Qatar

Hello, i was given this watch by a student staying with me last year. He bought it in qatar. the length is 6.5" long and 1" wide it has a watch face that has Quartz marking in it and either side of the face are 3 square turquiose coloured links with it looks like aribic scrolling around the links.on the reverse of the watch face it say's HongLong water resistant, Japan movement.Could this watch be worth anything. It is difficult, however, to tell much about the value without knowing if there are any precious metals involved or whether the turquoise is genuine or simulated.The Hong Long mark is probably Hong Kong where many watches are made for export to other countries. In order to determine whether any precious metals or stones are present you would need to have it examined by a jeweler or gemologist. Then you could determine a value.
