Why Does My Diamond Tennis Necklace Roll? Causes & Solutions

Question
Is there a particular reason that a diamond tennis necklace won't lay flat - it rolls to the sides.  I've been given several different explanations.  Is there a setting that prevents this?

Answer
Patty, I would likely give several explanations and still might not get the right one.  Generally, the links are tight enough they will not form a circle for the wrist when turned sideways. This would tell me the links are fairly loose fitted to begin with or worn if the bracelet has some years on it.

There is not one setting sort which does this more than others, although flatter and wider bracelets tend to roll less and generally not at all.

One reason a bracelet will roll is the weight of the bracelet is pulling it down the wrist area and it sticks to the skin.  If your skin is moist or has lotion, etc., which would give a grip an prevent the bracelet from sliding, then the bracelet may roll instead right over on its side.  A bracelet which is too tight will sometime roll for similar reasons.

I hope from what I have said you might find something in common with your tennis bracelet to help explain the situation.

Use a follow-up if you need to get back.  I will be off a few days and the follow-up may not work until I return.  God Bless and Peace. Thomas.
