Identifying a Vintage White Gold Ring: 18K, 750, PD & Diamond Details

Hey, i recently just found i think a white gold ring with the inscription 18k 750 & the opposite side has PD and i beleive theres a little circle tword the top. I was wondering if you could find out a little about it. When it was made? where? Is it a special heirloom or something? It has a skinny band 5 small diamonds on each side than the center has for medium size princess cut diamonds creating a square and four crystals boardering it and one each corner of the crystals are four more circle diamonds. I took it in to see if they were real and they told me yes all of it. So i just was wondering if you could help!

Hello Katelyn and thank you for your inquiry. I have been unable to locate any manufacturer/designer with the PD hallmark except for a "WPD" which is Wm P Donovan Company in Bostom Mass. active around 1915. Only you could establish whether it is an heirloom if from to to a member of your family.  Since you have already had the authentication of the gold and diamonds done, you might go a bit further and have an appraisal with emphasis on the maker and/or era. This requires a hands-on inspection of the item. There are also online appraisal sites that will work from a good photo of the mark and item. They charge a minimum fee but have more resources available. Your ring sounds beautiful but to get much more information than you have would require good photos or physical inspection. Possibly the person who authenticated its construction could direct you in this. Hope this helps and enjoy your ring.
