Find a Ring Sizer: Spring-Loaded Options & Scratch-Free Alternatives

Question
You mentioned something about metal spring-loaded ring sizers. Do you know where I could find one?  I've tried other things with little luck...  I am afraid of scratching up my ring though.  If you have any other suggestions that would be temporary, please let me know

You might want to check with jewelry stores on this item, since they will generally put the sizer (also called a "ring guard") on your ring while you wait.

The wrap on style will move and will eventually wear on your ring. Even the spring loaded style will possibly scratch a little bit. All you need to do is keep a look at your ring to be sure wear is not too much. Minor scratches may be buffed away by a jeweler.  If the ring can be sized to fit an still go over the knuckle ok, having the ring sized is the best option. If getting the correct size on the finger is a problem, these guards may be the answer you are looking to find.
