Ring Sizing Mandrel: Accurate Measurement & Sizing Guide

Ring mandrel   Attached is a picture of a ring I bought at Tiffany & Co, the reciept says it's a size 7.  I bought the mandrel on eBay and it looks like a 7 to me but someone told me they wear a 7 and this ring must be a 6.5.

I realize the mandrel pictured if cheap and but I have verified the finger rings hit on the lines of mandrel perfectly.

Jacqueline, in the photo your mandrel is measuring a 7. It must be correct according to the measure Tiffany took(if they did measure your finger because it fits.   For reassurance, go to a jeweler ans ask if it is ok to compare your mandrel with their finger sizing rings.  It is not unusual for a mandrel to be off a LITTLE.  i have a calibrated set and that was fairly expensive.


The ring should be round to measure correctly.  God Bless.  Thomas.
