Identifying a Sterling Silver Heart Pendant with Initials & Gemstone Design
QuestionHello, my grandmother passed away and left me a beautiful sterling silver heart pendant. The back has 925 and what i am guessing the letters either man, han, or pam, it is very hard to make out. Anyways the pendant is covered in white gems exsept for the red and blue gems which create an X in the center. If you have any information on this please let me know.... Thank you very much
AnswerHi Shanda,
The '925' is the sterling silver quality stamp and the the other letters are most likely the initials of the manufacturer. Usually most stones set in silver were either semi-precious or synthetic imitations. Now with the price of gold so high they are setting diamonds and precious stones in silver. But if your grandmother bought it back a while they are more than likely not natural. However to really identify them I would need to actually see them.
