QuestionI have a herringbone chain which has become rigid in a couple of spots. Is there any way to fix it? Thank you. Mireille
AnswerMireille-
Herringbone chains are now obsolete in many fine jewelry stores because of the high maintenance and susceptibility to kinks and short term wear. In other words, they are bad chains. There is NO way to repair the chain without leaving a mark from either solder ( which makes them stiff) or kinking.
Im sorry, you may be able to purchase a new chain online for a reasonable amount due to the fact silver is not as expensive as gold....
you may try our site www.arkinc.com and search for silver items. Good luck.
