Identifying Nazi Symbol on Carmen Bracelet: History & Origin

Question
Hello and let me thank you in advance for reading my question. I have used this website for other questions and am very grateful for your and the other experts help.

I found a Carmen expandable NON-LOCKET bracelet with a Swastika on it in what looks like small stones. Can you tell me if the symbol is related to Nazi Germany?

I understand from another question you answered that Carmen is affiliated with D.F. Briggs and made expandable bracelets. I guess I wonder why an American company would make this bracelet if in fact the symbol is associated with Nazi Germany. Did they sell this bracelet in the US?

I have a picture if you would like.

Thank so much.

Answer
Hello Angela and thank you for your inquiry. Several companies made this type of bracelet besides Briggs - Pittman and Keeler and Lustern were a couple of them.  Below is some information I found on the Swastika design:

"The word swastika is derived from the Sanskrit svastika (in Devanagari, स्वस्तिक), meaning any lucky or auspicious object, and in particular a mark
made on persons and things to denote good luck. It is composed of su- (cognate with Greek ευ-, "eu-"), meaning "good, well" and asti a verbal abstract to the root as "to be"; svasti thus means "well-being". The suffix -ka forms a diminutive, and svastika might thus be translated literally as "little thing associated with well-being".

The swastika symbol is one of the oldest symbols on the Earth and can be found in all religions and traditions, on all continents!

The swastika was also used in Victorian jewelry as well as Native American.

Hope this helps !
