Identifying a Vintage D. F. Briggs Bracelet - Unique Floral Design

Question
Going through mom's jewelry box with my daughter, mom came across a bracelet that my 2 year old loved so she gave it to her. I took it from her and looked it over. I have found many of the sweetheart locket bracelets and bracelets with designs on them but have not come across anything like this one. It is not a locket. It is an circle with a single flower with leaves on one side and half circle designs on the other. I have looked everywhere to find out something about it or even the D. F. Briggs co.
Any idea how to clean it?

Answer
Hello Brooke and thank you for your inquiry. D. F. Briggs did make some beautiful bracelets besides the sweetheart design. There are several books on the market that give more details about the company and their designs. Check for book - 200 Years of American Manufactured Jewelry and Accessories by Marshall. To clean your bracelet, use a soft toothbrush with windex or warm soapy water.  Be very careful not to get any stones wet. Then polish with a soft cloth. There is also a cloth - "Sunshine cloth" available at some sites online, that is an excellent cleaner/polish for vintage costume jewelry. Hope this helps and enjoy your bracelet !
