Identifying a Vintage Brass Bracelet: 'C' Mark & Possible Jade?

Question

Brass bracelet
Hi just wondering about a brass bracelet I bought for 25 cents at the thriftshop today.Sure its brass as it is gold in colour and has some oxidation of green and white. The mark inside box clasp is an etched "c". also it looks like jade pieces on it also but not sure. looks very old.Any idea about the mark or if it looks like jade or not.Greatly apreciate any help.I purchased a bracelet 3 yrs ago...vintage  had it appraised and was worth 3000 and paid $2.oo for it. So I keep my eyes out for rare looking pieces. Have attached photo of brass piece. Thanks Tammy

Answer
Hi Tammy,

The piece looks old but I would need to personally inspect it to determine that. The 'C' looks to be stamped not engraved making it a little more modern. The stones could be Jade and they are a mosaic or assembled. It is impossible to positively identify gems in a photograph.
The 'C' could be any number of things, like the Maker of the piece or company that manufactured it. It isn't an identifying character. There is no significance to the stamp. The patina of the metal doesn't look like pure brass but some alloy of it.
That's all i can tell you without inspecting it personally. Thanks and Good Luck,

Peter
