Vintage Oval Stone Necklace & Earring Set - Unique Jewelry

These pieces are difficult to explain. The 5 pieces on the necklace and one on both earrings are oval, little over 1" in length and 1" at broadest point on sides. The settings are very good, they are set on sort of an oval, metal band with heave clasps holding the "stones." I can't tell if the clear top is plastic or glass. The back of each is solid black. The "stones" look like flecks of gold and some type of almost pinkish rocks (very small) under the clear, rounded top. The five pieces on the necklace are connected by heave clasps. At each end the pieces attach to what is almost a horshoe ring made to look like it loops through a solid, oval shap piece that connects to a flat,chain that looks interwoven. It ends in another flat, somewhat rounded piece which connects to a chain which has with a bob on the end (shaped like a teardrop). There is a hook on the other chain that simply slips over the chain or can be hooked through one of the loops. However, it looks to me as if the teardrop, which is heavy, is supposed to keep the hook from slipping. I cannot see any marks on either the neckace or the earrings. They are somewhat heavy, and again seem to be very well made. Each "stone" is held with two claws on the side at each end on both sides. They lie flat when worn. Any ideas?
