Identifying Your Silver Ring: Maker's Mark & Diamond Authenticity
QuestionI have a silver ring in an antique setting stamped 925 but it also has stone that looks like a diamond & another stamp of a circle with a dot inside of it. Can you tell me what the circle with the dot stands for & how can I tell if the diamond is real?
AnswerHi Tanya,
The circle stamp is probably the "makers mark" identifying the manufacturer. I am not farmiliar with this maker. To identify the stone take it to a gemologist of ex[eriemced jeweler and be prepared to pay for an I.D. I cannot teach you in this limited venue how to identify a real diamond. Good luck.
