QuestionI have a white gold diamond ring and have always wandered what the marking meant, it has a marking that says. H&R 14k what is H&R mean?
AnswerJerry, the H&R is the maker's mark. USA regulations for gold marking require a maker to "sign" the metal with their stamp if they claim the metal to be a particular karat quality. I cannot identify the maker, considering there are thousands of those marks and most is outsourced for manufacture overseas nowadays. If you know where the ring was purchased, they should be able to tell you the maker.
God Bless and Peace. Thomas.
