QuestionWhy is it that the next shot could cause BIG problems? I will research it but thought you might give me a little insight. Thanks so much!

My 10-week old son just got his shots yesterday and I asked the doctor if he would be getting a fever. She told me no, that he might just be a little sore. He has been really fussy today and he has a fever of 99.5 under the arm (so 100.5 which I'm sure you know). When I called the doctor's office, I spoke with a nurse and she told me this was normal. What should I believe? Should I request the doctor? Should I wait it out? Help!

Hello Harmony- give your baby some tylenol- a fever is very common with shots. Before you give your baby any more shots- PLEASE research the info about immunizations- the next shots could cause BIG problems. Get a book called DPT- A shot in the dark. Search the web for info as well- Amazon has several books on the subject. All the best- Cheri.
AnswerHello again. If the FIRST shots have caused a fever, the next ones could cause even MORE fever and convultions- which CAN lead to brain damage. Public health has an agenda- they want 100% immunization of the public. However, many babies have been permanently damaged by these immunizations. Public health seems to think that this is an acceptable risk to have everyone immunized. There are LOTS of experts who totally disagree with public health officials. One very good source is a book written by Dr. Robert Mendelson- How to Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor- and he was a professor of pediatrics!! All the best- Cheri.
