QuestionMy husband and I are going to try to get pregnant. We consulted a doctor and had a few of our questions answered. However, there was one question that the doctor did not take seriously and I am not sure where to look for answers. I have been trying to change our diet. I am trying to cut out soda and sugar drinks and drink more water, however drinking water makes me sick to my stomach. It is almost a heartburn feeling. This concerns me very much because I want to have a healthy pregnancy. I have tried adding honey and lemon to my water and still the water makes me sick. I am drinking bottled water - our tab water has too much chorline in it.
Do you have any suggestions or alternatives?
thank you - Katie Cooper
Answer Water is water. What I mean by this as long as you get the water it is okay to add things to it.
I understand that these items may add sugar and calories to your diet but at least you would get the much needed water.
I suggest Kool-Aid or lemonaid. (all made with mostly water, some lemonaid mixes do not contain sugar, you can also reduce or take out completely the sugar from the Kool-Aid.)
If you like tea a decaffinated tea would be a good choice as well.
Good luck to you.
