QuestionI have 3 questions, please!
1. I am 35 weeks pregnant and have been eating a tuna fish sandwich from Subway almost every other day, is this dangerous for baby? (mercury)
2. Is there any evidence that having been on hydroxyprogesterone shots during the first trimester makes a baby more prone to being overweight?
3. My babys face is constantly smushed up against the placenta. She has been this way for months (I am high risk and have had many ultrasounds). Is it dangerous for her face to be so smushed against the placenta?
Thanks for your time. I appreciate it!
AnswerThere is no danger of the baby becoming oveerweight from your using hydroxyprogesterone during your first trimester. It does not matter where the baby's face is in relationship to the placenta. It is well protected. As far as eating tuna fish every day, there is no way to know how much mercury you are being exposed to. Certainly it would be nice to know if they are using wild tuna or domestic tuna, but there is nothing you can do about it at this point, so there is no reason to worry. Why are you high risk?
