Pregnancy at 43: Risks, Statistics, and Considerations

Question
are there and what are they, risk of having a child at 43. are the number of pregnancies increasing with people of this age. also any information will be appreciated.

Answer
There are increased risk at that age.  Some include risk to the mother, such as, high blood pressure and difficulty delivering also a longer recovery time.
To the baby, the risk increase of birth defects, exspecially Down Syndrome. (there is a test for this but I do not recommend it because it is not very accurate.   It may say the baby is likely to be Down's, the parents spend months worrying or worse yet abort and the baby is fine)
Many older women have fine babies though.  Some famous ones include Modonna.
You should have a full physical before trying to have a baby. (or your wife/girlfriend)
With women in the work force there is more and more women waiting to start having babies.
Good luck to you.
