Irregular Periods: Causes, Ovulation & Pregnancy Concerns

hello doctor i am 18 years married 8 months ago befor marriage my period was regular every 28 days after marriage the period was irregular every 25 days may be 35 days plz can you tell what is the cause of irregularity and does it affect ovulation and pregnancy thank u

Hello,

I cannot tell you why you are irregular.  You would need to undergo an evaluation to find out that answer.  Certainly if you are irregular, that is an indication that the ovaries are not working properly and that could affect your chances of getting pregnant.  It would be wise for you to see a specialist to help you to conceive but giving you medications to help get you regular again.
