QuestionHi edward, you have helped me in the past and now I have another question! I was using 400mg/day of progesterone cream (as suggested by an expert I know) from ovulation for 14 days this last past cycle. I usually use 200-300mg/day but my period kept starting early before the 14 days were up, so we upped the dose. I stopped the cream 4 days ago and my period has not started yet. It usually does pretty quickly, but I've never used a dose this high before. Do you think it has built up in my body and is delaying my period? I would think that stopping the cream would have triggered my period by now. I took several pregnancy tests and they are all negative. Please give advice if possible!
AnswerHello Cat from the U.S.,
It can take up to 7 days for the period to start after stopping progesterone. I don't think the dose is too high.
